Angus in the yard

Angus: Here I am just enjoying my day. Think I need a drink from the new doggie drinking fountain Buddy so thoughtfully bought me.

Checking for squirrels

Maggie: I can see one in the tree - I can see it right now I tell you!

Angus is worried

Angus: So Mommy screamed really loud and I was worried.

Some excitement

Maggie: So I went in the backyard again and rolled around just for fun. I came back on the deck to see Mommy. She thought I had a stick stuck on my back but when she picked it off she screamed really loud and flung the thing. It stuck to the window! It was a slug! How great is that?

New rain barrel

Mommy is trying to be green so she bought this cool rainbarrel. The rain comes down the rainchain and water goes into the barrel so we can use it to water our flowers.

Damn

Look at dem flowers! Lilies of the valley mmmm they smell nice.

Too many bird feeders

Sheesh, look at all the feeders. Must be some kind of OCD around here! Hey look there's the orange holder that Buddy got for Christmas!

More roaming

Went and looked down the lane at the neighbours house.

Got bored

So I went and looked out the front door to see if there were any squirrels or chipmunks in the front yard.

Still resting

and my brother Angus came and joined me. He wanted to see what I was looking at. Meanwhile I was plotting.....

Then I rested

And sat on the deck for awhile. That was good because i stayed out of trouble for a little while.

First I had a drink out of Mommy's fountain. Mommy hates that but it's just really a dog drinking fountain.

Ahh the long weekend

Angus:

Hey look - Mommy has a little shrine to us in the backyard!

Magpie:

To us? I doubt it. To me, maybe. Except there is the fact that now I'm scared of heavy rain AS WELL AS thunder and lightning and have woken her up in the middle of the night the last 2 nights - maybe she is liking you a tiny bit more these days. Plus you don't poop and pee in the house like me. Plus you don't run up big vet bills by eating bad things. Plus you like little kids. Plus you don't kill chipmunks. Oh well, good thing I'm a princess!

Angus - I like balls

Angus: my favourite things are balls. Okay, other than food my favourite things are balls. This was one happy day for me.

This is an Indigo Bunting

Okay, I know, I know - looks like Buddy has grabbed the control of the blog!!!!!

And this wren came back to the birdhouse this year. Well, it looks the same as last year's wren.

The Enemy

Maggie: I am really glad that this birdfeeder is acting as a lure. If I just bide my time.....hah!

Maggie and the Lovesac

Maggie: We got this new Lovesac so we have seating when guests come. At least that is what my people think. I think it makes a fine new dogbed, super comfy and I look fabulous on it.

I think I'm a Lab

Angus: when it rains a lot a really nice lake forms in my backyard. I really like it - I can dig in the water, get all dirty and Mommy really loves that.

New Shower

Well Buddy finished our master bathroom. Here we are admiring the cool new shower!
